MQL Defender

As explained in the FAQ, any protection system such as MQL Defender is ultimately breakable. Even Microsoft have been unable to prevent Windows licensing from being hacked.

For paranoid exacting customers, we can offer a bespoke service which is even more secure than the standard MQL Defender:

• Part of your indicator/expert advisor gets turned into a bespoke Windows DLL
• The protection is still theoretically breakable, by someone with sufficient expertise and time
• But a hacker has to target your DLL specifically, as well as attacking MQL Defender generically

The bespoke DLL still makes use of our core technology and our convenient web-based console, but uses bespoke protection rather than relying on our standard MQL Protect tool.

Building your own DLLs

If you have the resources to build your own Windows DLL files, we can supply you with a kit (primarily a .lib file) which you incorporate into your DLL in order to add licensing checks.

You need to create your own installer for the DLL (if you want one for your clients), and use your own digital certificate (if you want the extra protection of code-signing).

Bureau service

If you are not in a position to create your own DLLs, we can do this for you on a bureau basis. You send us your MQ4 code, and we send you back revised MQ4 code plus a bespoke DLL.

We also create an installer for the DLL, and sign the DLL with a digital certificate making it harder to tamper with.
